Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. You enter six pieces of information: your sex, age, your health status (in your own words), tobacco use, desired benefit amount, and term years. That's enough data for carriers to return their pricing. We request your name, address and full medical details only if you choose to submit an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

They represent what each carrier is quoting based on the health tier you indicated. Your actual premium is determined by the carrier through underwriting, which may confirm, improve or reduce your classification. This site does not constitute a guarantee or an offer to insure at any particular price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You'll type in your name, and the application is prepared from your exact quote selection, then transferred to the carriers' proprietary application system. You're welcome to start, stop and resume. Your signature is done electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed insurance agency (License 0B75129), manages the process.

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on your carrier, the coverage limit and your individual profile. Carriers offering expedited approvals can move quickly for candidates meeting their criteria; each quote indicates whether an exam is needed, possible or not required.

Is a longer term better?

A term is selected based on the period during which someone depending on you would be financially harmed if you died: repaying a mortgage, educating children, clearing a business obligation. Longer terms cost more monthly but fix your rate for a bigger window. The comparison tool lets you see 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year quotes side by side.

Does this site sell my information?

Correct. We do not request contact info through the rate tool, we maintain no marketing database of visitor data, and our first-party measurement honors browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control headers. The site also uses a cookieless page-view beacon from our content delivery provider, which does not read such signals. More detail is on our privacy page.
