How to read the results

Monthly price refers to the premium quoted by the carrier for the benefit, duration and health classification you specified. Rate class names the tier the quotation is based on; the carrier verifies this through underwriting. Exam indicates whether a medical visit is anticipated; many express programs waive this for qualifying applicants. A.M. Best is the carrier's insurer stability rating.
